Sports

3 Students advance to National level championship 2024 for Pole Vault from Welimada Tamil Maha Vidyalaym, Uva Province. Realizing the talent in some of the students, SJC87 initiative bought the school a Pole Vault in October 2023.

Also provided were the sports shoes needed for this sport.

Music

Five students from Palai Central College, the only school from the North to be part of a 1300 voice choir at the National Music Festival 2024 on August 3rd at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. SJC87 initiative provided the funding necessary for the transportation, accommodation and meals for these students.
