School-Level Sponsorship Program
The primary goal of our School-Level Sponsorship Program is to prevent students from dropping out of school due to financial hardship. By providing essential support, this initiative encourages students to attend school regularly and remain enrolled until they complete high school.
To ensure the program’s effectiveness, field officers closely monitor each sponsored student, ensuring regular school attendance and providing necessary guidance. Additionally, student performance is tracked meticulously, with progress reports shared with sponsors at the end of each academic term.
Current Impact
As of now, the sponsorship program has made a significant impact:
- 570 students are receiving sponsorship support.
- 370 school students are enrolled in 76 different schools across 14 Education Zones in the Northern and Eastern Provinces
- 200 university students are pursuing higher education in 18 different institutions across Sri Lanka.
Program Structure
- Sponsorships are initiated twice a year, with new enrollments starting in January and July.
- The program covers school-related expenses, ensuring that students have the resources and financial stability needed to continue their education.
By fostering educational continuity, this initiative plays a vital role in breaking the cycle of poverty, empowering students, and paving the way for a brighter future.
